Summit Huts Association is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We are always looking for people to help us fulfill our mission and maintain our huts.

  • Volunteer opportunities are mostly physical labor, such as wood stacking, cabin deep cleaning, grounds work and maintenance projects. Some projects are overnight and volunteers are welcome to stay in the cabin during those projects. Volunteers are responsible for all personal items and food.
  • Space is limited on all volunteer days, you must reserve your space in advance. We typically create volunteer teams and a waiting list on a first come first serve basis. We send email blasts to announce volunteer events and dates so be sure you are on our email list.

  • Please note volunteers must be at least 18 years old for Janet’s Cabin Heli Weekend and 12 years old is preferred for all other volunteer dates.

Benefits of Volunteering

  • Volunteers will earn one FREE night stay in any of our cabins for each day of volunteer work. Volunteers may redeem their night and make a reservation starting October 1st and cabin nights are good for the winter and following summer seasons. Reservations are subject to availability and follow all typical SHA policies.
